OUTCOME

A mobile-responsive, user-friendly website with clearly identified ideal target market. SolFin came well-prepared to their project with professionally crafted positioning, a fresh logo design and brand style guide. I wrote homepage copy applying StoryBrand principles to amp it up.

The Process

After a thorough review of the client’s Website Success Toolkit™ and Kick-off Strategy Session, I created live grayscale wireframes to quickly work out where all of the content would go. This gives the client and I a realistic, live web environment to focus on messaging, marketing and information hierarchy without the distraction of decorative visual assets.

Mood Boards are great at getting the conversation started around colors and typography, and the mood that’s created for site visitors by those elements and the selected images. We look at these as static visuals to avoid getting distracted by the tech stuff while making sure the overall look elevates the client’s visual brand. These are the two choices I gave SolFin to choose from. Can you guess which one they picked?

The final website design showing the marriage between the grayscale wireframes and the full color mood board branded concepts. As a startup, the client was particularly interested in making sure the website established credibility and legitimacy for his new business so prospective clients would feel a sense of trust when visiting the website. I think we achieved that 100 percent.
