Two fantastic design resources:
(1) a preview (a rather generous one at that) of Graphic Design Thinking: How to Define Problems, Get Ideas and Create Form edited by Ellen Lupton and Jennifer Cole Phillips. It looks like a fantastic resource and I can’t wait for it to become available this spring. The book is designed, written and produced by Graphic Design MFA students at MICA, the Maryland Institute College of Art.
(2) the web site issuu where you can upload your own magazines to create online publications and flipbooks with real turning pages. I like it! Once you upload your magazine file, simply copy the embed code into your html document and, presto!, gorgeous, interactive turning pages right on your own web site or blog. Make sure to click on the book above first so you can see it full screen before flipping the pages.
