Super cool finds yesterday looking through the Picture Collection at the Mid-Manhattan Library on 5th Avenue and 40th Street. It’s the location on the southeast side of 5th…not the main research library with the big lion statues out front.
I stopped in at the library after having a wonderful lunch with Susan who is on the verge of launching her new online business. But that’s a story for another day. Anyway, I’d heard great things about the Picture Collection and wanted to go in and see for myself. I’m always looking for resources for design and typography ideas and I have to tell you, this is a fantastic one. Besides being a great resource for images, I found the librarians to be extraordinarily knowledgeable and really happy to help with questions. And they have hours seven days a week and stay open until 11pm on many weeknights.
