This spring I attended the Paper Expo hosted by the Art Directors Club. The intimate space at ADC headquarters on W29th Street was transformed into a trade show floor—tables filled with the most gorgeous paper and printed samples. These are a mere handful of my favorites starting with this letterpress snake I hand-cranked myself.

There were so many wonderful examples of letterpress business cards. These shots are not so great but I think you can get the idea.

I especially loved this freeform, hand-drawn design which I thought was very appropriate for an art director’s card.

Finally, there was this clever giveaway: a small, clear box filled with these little die-cut shapes printed with a value on one side and the printer’s website address on the other. Such a clever idea.
